About Greatness in Training

About SilentGrit.

I’m Not a Guru. I’m Not a Coach.

I’m SilentGrit—a guy who’s messed up, learned some hard lessons, and chose to keep moving forward.

I landed in Canada in 2008, drifted through college, and dropped out. I became a dad before I was ready to be the man my kids needed. Those mistakes? I carry them.

But in 2017, I went back to school, graduated in 2020, and met the woman who helped me rebuild my life. Now, I’m raising two incredible kids, training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and lifting heavy to stay strong—physically and mentally—for them.

One moment that changed everything? Stepping onto a BJJ mat, out of breath but determined. That first roll taught me something: resilience isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up.
